Round Cane

There are a number of species of canes available to supply many sizes of round cane with its skin intact. This means that the sizing is more general than core cane because variation exists within each piece of cane. For example, at each leaf node there is usually a slight change in diameter. Cane which still has its skin is stronger, but is less flexible than core cane.

Smaller sizes of round cane are used for basketry. All sizes are used in cane furniture manufacture and repairs. It is also used to make hoops, whip handles, kites, sculptures, polo mallets and martial arts fighting sticks.

This cane comes in a range of sizes from 5mm to 40mm.
