And Woven Cane makes quality reproductions of traditional Australian split cane and seagrass furniture. Each item is hand crafted in our Brisbane workshop. We offer the split cane with tortoiseshell mottling and coloured bindings as traditional or in natural cane or raw, ready to be painted. Also we can vary our standard patterns to a certain extent, adjusting sizes etc. For example we can make our Daybeds longer or shorter or wider or narrower or our tables can be made smaller or larger. Some of the chairs can be made into Rocking Chairs or the size changed slightly. We can copy your chair (but need to have the original to ensure proportions and size are correct) or make an item from a photo or drawing (but proportions can vary a little). We can also make seagrass chairs similar to our split cane or copy yours. Prices on application. Weaving seagrass chairs is a very time consuming exercise.
